ClearBee Terms of Service
Last updated: 10 September 2026 · Ron Stoleru, trading as ClearBee
ClearBee is provided by Ron Stoleru, trading as ClearBee, of 39 Petah Tikva Street, Netanya, Israel ("we", "us", or "our"). You can contact us at support@clearbee.io. Our website is clearbee.io.
1. These Terms
These Terms govern your use of the ClearBee desktop application and related account services. By accepting these Terms when creating an account or installing the application, you enter into an agreement with us. If you do not accept them, you must not use ClearBee.
You must have legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you accept on behalf of a business or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it. ClearBee is available to individual and business customers. Nothing in these Terms removes consumer rights that apply to your purchase by law.
2. The software and your documents
ClearBee is Windows software that helps you detect and redact logos, stamps, signatures, and similar marks in PDF files. You review the detected areas and choose which changes to apply before saving the output.
PDF detection, redaction, and saving take place on your computer. These functions do not upload your PDFs to our servers. An internet connection is used for account sign-in, subscription and usage checks, billing, detection-model downloads, and application updates.
Detection can miss marks or identify the wrong area. Keep a copy of the original document and check the saved output before sharing it. ClearBee does not guarantee that a document meets any particular court, disclosure, privacy, or compliance requirement. Do not assume that removing visible marks removes other sensitive information elsewhere in a PDF.
You retain ownership of your documents. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to process them and for deciding whether the resulting document is appropriate for its intended use.
3. Accounts and licence
Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
While you have a remaining free allowance or an active paid subscription, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use ClearBee for your personal use, professional work, or organisation's work on Windows computers you own or control. The number of permitted computers and any usage limits are those stated in the plan you select before purchase.
You must not resell or sublicense the software, share access beyond your plan's allowances, bypass licence controls, or copy or modify the software except as expressly permitted by us or by law. Restrictions on reverse engineering do not apply where the law gives you a right that cannot be excluded. Separate licences govern any open-source components and prevail for those components where required by their terms.
We and our licensors retain ownership of the software, detection models, branding, and website materials. This licence does not transfer those rights to you.
4. Your free allowance
ClearBee includes an initial allowance of 50 free pages. One free page is consumed when you Apply a redaction and/or stamp on that distinct PDF page. Detect alone does not consume a free page. Any other feature or device limits that apply to the free allowance are stated before you start using it.
No payment details are required for the free allowance. Using all 50 free pages does not start a paid subscription or authorise a charge. To continue using paid features after the allowance is exhausted, you must choose a plan and complete a separate purchase through checkout. There is no subscription to cancel while you are using only the free allowance.
5. Purchases and renewals
For purchases through Paddle, Paddle is the Merchant of Record and authorised reseller: you buy the subscription from Paddle, and we provide the software and product support. The Paddle Buyer Terms govern that purchase. These Terms govern your use of ClearBee and do not reduce your rights under Paddle's terms or applicable law.
Before you pay, the offer and checkout show the plan, included features and allowances, price, currency, billing period, and applicable taxes. Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the billing period you select unless cancelled before the next renewal. Deleting the application or stopping use does not cancel a subscription.
Any increase to a recurring price will be notified before it takes effect. You may cancel before the increased price applies. We will obtain consent where required by law. Changes to your plan or charges during a paid period require your agreement unless applicable law permits otherwise.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel through Paddle's customer portal using the link in your subscription confirmation email, or request cancellation through Paddle buyer support. You may also contact support@clearbee.io for help.
Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless an earlier end or refund applies, your paid access continues until the end of the period already paid for. Cancellation alone does not refund that period. Our Refund Policy explains refund requests and applicable refund rights. Mandatory rights and Paddle's applicable terms remain unaffected.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use ClearBee to:
- infringe copyright, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights;
- forge documents, misrepresent their origin or approval, or remove information that you are legally required to retain or disclose;
- remove ownership, attribution, signature, or other marks without the authority to do so;
- evade lawful access restrictions, commit fraud, or interfere with our systems or another person's access.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle account, billing, usage, and contact information. It also explains the distinction between local PDF processing and the online services used by ClearBee. Accepting these Terms does not itself provide consent for optional marketing or tracking.
9. Changes, suspension, and termination
We may update ClearBee to maintain functionality, compatibility, and security. We will not materially reduce the core features of your paid plan during its current billing period without your agreement or an appropriate remedy where required by law.
We may suspend or end access for a material breach of these Terms, non-payment, unlawful use, or a significant security threat. Where practicable, we will explain the reason and give you a reasonable opportunity to resolve it. Immediate action may be necessary to protect users or systems or to comply with law.
If we permanently discontinue your paid service or terminate it for reasons unrelated to your breach, you retain any refund or other remedy available under applicable law or Paddle's applicable terms. Refunds for Paddle purchases will be arranged through Paddle.
When your licence ends, you must stop using the paid software features. Your ownership of your documents is unaffected. Terms concerning intellectual property, accrued payment obligations, liability, and disputes continue to apply where relevant after termination.
10. Warranties and liability
We do not promise uninterrupted operation, error-free detection, or suitability for a particular legal or compliance outcome. Subject to rights and warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded, ClearBee is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Consumers retain any applicable rights to software that matches its description and meets legally required quality and functionality standards, and the remedies provided by law if it does not.
For business customers, to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost business opportunities, or business interruption. Our total liability to a business customer arising from or relating to ClearBee is limited to the greater of (a) the amount that customer paid for ClearBee, including amounts paid through Paddle, during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) US$50.
These exclusions and limits do not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that the law does not allow us to exclude or limit. They do not restrict mandatory consumer remedies or an express refund obligation in these Terms or our Refund Policy.
11. Changes to these Terms
We will post updated Terms with a revised date. For material changes affecting existing customers, we will give reasonable advance notice by email or in the application and state when they take effect. Changes will not apply retrospectively to an existing claim. Where the law requires your agreement, we will ask for it. If you do not accept a change, you may cancel your subscription before it takes effect, without losing any rights that apply by law.
12. Governing law and other terms
These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel. For disputes between us and a business customer, the competent courts in Israel have exclusive jurisdiction. Consumers retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in their home jurisdiction. Disputes with Paddle are governed by Paddle's applicable buyer terms.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. These Terms, the plan terms accepted at purchase, and our Refund Policy form the agreement between you and us for ClearBee, subject to any separate written agreement and rights that cannot be excluded.
